Bill Woolf
Colonel William A. “Bill” Woolf, USAF (Ret.), is a distinguished retired U.S. Air Force officer with over 24 years of service, renowned for his leadership in space and nuclear operations.
Military Career and Expertise
Col. Woolf’s career encompassed pivotal roles in space operations, nuclear command and control, and technical program management. He held key positions in operations, staff leadership, and technical program management, with extensive experience in advanced space programs and Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). A graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School, he is recognized for his expertise in space and multi-domain operations.

Matt Anderson
After serving for over 24+ years and retiring as a Colonel in the US Air Force, Matt began working for CACI International as Vice President, US Space Force & Air Force Client Executive in 2021. SFA’s very first volunteer, Matt currently serves as SFA’s Chief Growth Officer after previously holding the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Outreach.

Kelsey Parker
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history and politics, Kelsey went on to earn her master’s in public administration, where a new passion was ignited for organizational leadership and development. She began her career in nonprofits as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Wichita, Kansas. She immediately gained a passion for fundraising and community outreach, leading her to roles such as the Director of Council Fundraising Support, GSUSA. Most recently she served as Director of Philanthropy for Jefferson Center for Mental Health.
Through managing portfolios and overseeing teams to collectively raise more than $20 million to benefit organizational missions and programs, her fundraising success has created a lasting impact.

Shawna Buckley
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in financial management and operations management, Shawna is a seasoned accounting and HR professional with expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, payroll, HR compliance, and contract management. She has successfully led financial operations across government and private sectors, demonstrating a strong focus on regulatory compliance and robust internal controls that drive cost savings and operational efficiency. Shawna holds certifications as a Certified Public Bookkeeper and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, along with Certifications in fraud prevention, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and nonprofit and government accounting. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in forensic accounting to further expand her expertise in financial investigation and compliance.

Karen Lawrie
Karen Lawrie is a marketing and communications professional with a passion for strategic storytelling. With over 12 years of experience, she has led innovative campaigns and driven impactful business initiatives across space and non-profit industries. As a military spouse and now military mom, Karen is passionate about championing initiatives to support military families and military spouse employment.

Cat Sawyer
Cat Sawyer has worked in marketing and PR in many different industries, including several radio stations and veterinary medicine. She has a BA from the University of Denver in International Studies and AAS in Applied Science. She has worked for the SFA since October of 2023 and has seen it grow tremendously in that time from a mostly volunteer organization to a fully staffed association. She is currently the Membership Coordinator for both Individual and Corporate, along with Marketing and PR support and anything else that is needed. She lives on a mini-farm in Colorado with her family.

Megan Murray
Megan Murray is an event coordinator with a unique background that blends creativity, leadership, and love for community. She began her journey in campus programming at Northern Kentucky University, where she honed her skills in planning and executing large-scale events while obtaining degrees in Communication Studies and Organizational Leadership. After a career shift to brewing craft beer, Megan has returned to her passion for event planning with fresh perspective and renewed energy. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, her dream is to one day resurrect a once-popular music festival in her hometown. When she’s not coordinating memorable experiences, you’ll likely find her sewing custom creations for her friends and family or roller skating through the city streets.

Modi Ramos
Modi Ramos is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in marketing, utilizing interpersonal skills to grow and enhance professional relationships, and journalism. She currently assists with the Space Force Association on a national level, and is also responsible for curating, budgeting, and seamlessly executing social events for the Midland satellite of the SFA Texas chapter. Her innovative personality and love of connecting with others has allowed her to excel in making lasting connections with a great number of people in the Midland-Odessa area. Modi is a transplant to West Texas, and she’s grown to love getting to know the influential people of the town and strives to deliver kids’ events that teach children about space, all while having fun.
Information Technology

Bruce Winters
Bruce Winters is a lifelong technology enthusiast, particularly drawn to innovation, Bruce began his career with a fresh engineering degree at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. There, he was part of a team that built, implemented, and managed enterprise-scale networks. He then progressed to global technical sales leadership roles at Cisco, EMC, and Dell Technologies. Most recently, he founded a Virtual Reality company called Bernoullium, which works with Enterprise-scale customers, both civilian and government, to help them explore, embrace, and adopt VR and AR technologies.

Alec Leeseberg
Alec Leeseberg is a Creative Technologist, Designer, and Digital Strategist out of Melbourne, FL. Alec received a Bachelor of Science in Creative Technologies from Berry College and a Master of Science in Creative Technologies and Design from the University of Colorado. Having worked for small startups and DoD contractors alike, he applies his knowledge of user centered design fundamentals in a variety of different contexts ranging from hardware design, software design, and digital strategy.

Jack Smith
Jack Smith is a U.S. Air Force veteran, entrepreneur, and business leader dedicated to advancing veteran opportunities in technology, defense, and government contracting. As the Western Region Vice President, he oversees strategic initiatives across six states. He is also the Founder and CEO of Fortuna, a veteran-owned consulting firm specializing in IT services, contact center solutions, and workforce optimization. A passionate advocate for veterans, Jack is committed to bridging the gap between military service and civilian careers, ensuring those who have served can thrive in the jobs of tomorrow.

Dr. Manjit Pope
Dr. Manjit Pope is a visionary leader at the forefront of space exploration, technology innovation, and international collaboration. As President of SFA International and Chief Strategy Officer for the Space Force Association, she drives global initiatives that shape the future of defense, aerospace, and security. With a background in leading multi-billion-dollar technology enterprises and pioneering advancements in AI, AGI, and space commercialization, Dr. Pope is a recognized authority in the industry. Her passion for innovation, strategic leadership, and global cooperation continues to redefine the landscape of space and defense for future generations.

Brent Page
Driven by a family legacy in space exploration, Brent Page brings his passion for space to his role as Deputy Vice President for the Space Force Association Western Region. As a Space Acquisition professional, he supports the development and maintenance of cutting-edge offensive and defensive counterspace, space situational awareness, and special access capabilities.
Brent is a graduate of Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and California State University-Northridge. His passion for space is rooted in family history, with his grandfather having worked for Chrysler Corporation’s Space Division helped assemble the first stage of the Saturn 1B rocket that was used in the early Apollo missions, which set the stage for NASA’s trip to the moon in July 1969. Having numerous family members contributing to the space program at NASA Stennis Space Center and Michoud Assembly Center. It is a part of his DNA.

Michael Sullivan
As the volunteer committee lead for the Space Force Association, MSgt Mike Sullivan oversees member engagement initiatives and directs programs that align with the association’s mission to empower the Space Force community. He has spearheaded impactful projects like the Space Force Association Creator League and launched efforts in artificial intelligence, gaming, and veteran support—fostering creativity and readiness across the force. Serving as Command First Sergeant at HQ STARCOM, Mike brings extensive expertise in program development and operational excellence, prioritizing mission success by leading initiatives that boost morale and resilience within the Space Force.

Dr. Melissa Patton
Dr. Melissa Patton is a trailblazer in strategic initiatives and pipeline management, specializing in scaling organizations through product-led growth. With 20+ years of experience in health, education, and tech, she has driven exponential growth, led lean startups, and launched industry-defining innovations. As Chief Strategy Officer at Point Solutions Group, she steers talent acquisition and DoD federal contracting while actively shaping the future of space and defense through leadership roles with the Space Force Association, AFCEA Space Coast, and the University of Central Florida.

Sophie Skiba
Sophia Skiba is the Director of the Space Professional Society and the Educational Director for SFA AZ. Currently, she is studying Astronomy at ASU and is a novice fossil hunter.
Committee Chairs

Mark Dreiling
Mark Dreiling is a retired USAF Space Operations Office and has served for eight years as the Chief of Staff for Congressman Don Bacon of Nebraska. During his military career, Mark was a certified SBIRS DSP crew commander, Chief of Crew Force Management, and Chief of Operations Training. In addition, he worked with USSTRATCOM, the NGA, and was a Test Director for AFOTEC. He is a graduate of the Naval War College with a Master of Arts with Highest Distinction in Defense and Strategic Studies, earned a Graduate Certificate in Space Systems from UCCS, and he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. In addition to his work in Congress, Mark served for several years as a staffer in the Nebraska State Legislature.
