This award is for an individual or team who is a champion of digital transformation in the defense industry, focusing on space innovation and space technology. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Innovation Award
Orion Space Solutions
This award recognizes the person or team that pushes the boundary of spacepower development through transformation of mission design, technical advancement, or mission accomplishment. Key to the innovation is its impact on securing the space domain or advancing space capabilities being provided to joint warfighters. It highlights the character of the person or team as masters of the space profession, their ability to connect organizations and bring the best minds and resources against a problem, the courage to challenge the status quo processes and technical solutions, and the commitment to see their innovation through to implementation. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Advancing the Human Presence in the Space Domain
Space for Humanity, Antonio Peronace
This award goes to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to advance the human presence and manned exploration of space. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
SpacePower Visionary Leadership Award
General Stephen N. Whiting
The Spacepower Visionary Leadership Award is bestowed upon a national leader in the space domain, whose singular vision and strategic acumen has directly shaped America’s ability to protect the security of the domain, guaranteeing the future prosperity of America and her allies. This award also recognizes that leader’s ability to motivate and inspire others both inside and external to the space community.
Congressional Staff SpacePower Leader Award
Avery Littrell
The Congressional Staff Spacepower Leader Award recognizes personal office and committee staffers who went above and beyond to advance the space domain and the mission of the Space Force, and who have been strong advocates for Guardians, Airmen working in the space domain, and military space operations veterans.

Leadership in Education Award
Kevin L. Simmons
This award can go to an individual, team, or organization for their work in advancing knowledge of the space domain in the classroom or other setting for America’s children. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Leadership in Industry Award
Spacex
The leadership in Industry Award is presented annually to a company or specific industry leader whose singular vision, leadership, and accomplishments have substantially transformed space operations and the space domain on both a national and global scale. This award is not presented for a singular act, but for proven track record of sustained performance and impact in the domain.
Literature, Media, and the Arts Award
George Paige
This award goes to individuals or organizations in fields of literature, television, film, educational entertainment, and other forms of entertainment and media whose work has contributed to promoting or advancing knowledge of the space domain. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Volunteer of the Year Award
Susie Dabrowski
The Volunteer of the Year Award is the highest award bestowed upon Space Force Association members for their countless hours, dedication, and sustained leadership in building and advancing the mission of the SFA. Only two awards are presented annually.
