This Terms of Use Agreement is a contract between you and the c (“SFA”). All transactions, activities and all other uses of this website at ussfa.org (“website”) are covered by this Agreement. Use of this site is also addressed by SFA’s Privacy Policy. By using the SFA website, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, regardless of whether you are a member of SFA. If you do not agree, you should leave the website and discontinue use of the services provided on the website.

ACCESS AND USE

The contents of this website are for personal, non-commercial purposes. Information contained on this website may not be used for commercial purposes including personal contact information of the SFA leadership, members, suppliers and business partners and staff.

TERM

This Agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use the website or its content as well as after your status as a user ceases. The SFA shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate access rights to this site to any party.

FURTHER PROVISIONS

This Agreement contains the entire agreement between you and the SFA about the use of the SFA website. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

This Agreement may be modified by SFA in its sole discretion from time to time.

Scope of SFA Data Privacy Policy

Policies and practices described below apply only to this website. This site was created and is maintained by SFA national headquarters to serve its members and further its mission. Some SFA chapters may be provided with their own area of this website. SFA chapters are separate not for profit organizations. The SFA data privacy policy does cover the parts of this SFA website that are provided to and created and maintained by individual chapters who have agreed to follow the SFA Data Privacy Policy. The SFA Data Privacy Policy does not include non-SFA websites, some of which may be maintained by chapters of SFA.

Training Materials and Logs

Material for vendors/partners/chapters/staff that is stored on this site is also subject to this SFA Data Privacy Policy.

Audit of the Policy

SFA maintains and updates the SFA Data Privacy Policy as required by applicable regulation and as it sees fit in its sole discretion.

The Information We Collect and Store

We may collect and store information from you when you visit the SFA website.

  1. Information You Provide to SFA
    When you use the SFA website to create an account, SFA collects some personal information, such as your name, chapter affiliation, phone number, e-mail address, rank, and home or business postal addresses. By providing this information to the Space Force Association, you release the Space Force Association from any liability in relation to the security of this information. SFA encrypts the transmission of Sensitive Information, for your protection, using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Credit card information that is entered into this site is not stored on this site.
  2. Log Data
    When you use the SFA website, we may record information about your online sessions including your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, the Web page visited before you came to the SFA website, information you search for on the SFA website, locale, date and time stamps of transactions, system configuration information and metadata, and other use of the SFA website.
  3. Cookies
    We use “cookies” to ensure you are able to log in to the site and remain logged in for your session. A cookie is a small text file. It records only your session identification information. No personal identifying information is stored in the cookies that are used by the SFA.

These third parties may have access to your information for purposes of performing these tasks and in compliance with obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy.

    In addition to sending information about member benefits directly to you, SFA sometimes shares your contact information with third-party member benefit providers that work on behalf of SFA. These providers are limited to using SFA membership data only for the purposes that SFA authorizes. SFA allows these third parties to have access to your information only for the purposes of performing these tasks on behalf of the SFA.

  3. Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement Requests; Protection of Space Force Association’s Rights
    We may disclose data stored in SFA databases and information about you that we collect when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
    1. comply with a law, regulation or compulsory legal request
    2. prevent fraud or abuse of the Space Force Association, or its members
    3. protect Space Force Association’s property rights
