This award is for an individual or team who is a champion of digital transformation in the defense industry, focusing on space innovation and space technology. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Innovation Award
This award recognizes the person or team that pushes the boundary of spacepower development through transformation of mission design, technical advancement, or mission accomplishment. Key to the innovation is its impact on securing the space domain or advancing space capabilities being provided to joint warfighters. It highlights the character of the person or team as masters of the space profession, their ability to connect organizations and bring the best minds and resources against a problem, the courage to challenge the status quo processes and technical solutions, and the commitment to see their innovation through to implementation. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Advancing the Human Presence in the Space Domain
This award goes to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to advance the human presence and manned exploration of space. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Leadership in Education Award
This award can go to an individual, team, or organization for their work in advancing knowledge of the space domain in the classroom or other setting for America’s children. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
Literature, Media, and the Arts Award
This award goes to individuals or organizations in fields of literature, television, film, educational entertainment, and other forms of entertainment and media whose work has contributed to promoting or advancing knowledge of the space domain. Civilians and military members are eligible for this award.
